FAQ

What does “queer” mean?

Only you can decide what to identify as. When I created this blog, I was using queer as a kind of blanket term that encompasses all non-heterosexual and non-cisgender identities.

Don’t you know being gay is haram?

Find me a place in the Quran or Sunnah where it specifically says it is haram to feel an attraction to the same gender, and then get back to me, kay?

But acting on it is still haram, isn’t it?

Regardless of whether “acting on it” is haram or not, queer people face a disproprotionate amount of stigma in our community. You cannot claim that straight extramarital sex (“Zina”) receives half the amount of scrutiny that same-sex relations does. Even if you consider it a sin, we deserve to exist without our human worth being questioned. This is a safe space, not a forum for debate. End of story.

Argumentative asks will be promptly deleted.

But what about the People of Lut?
